Town 0-2 Arsenal Sat 01st Dec 2001 18:12
Town fell to another defeat as one of the sides immediately above them, Leicester, put a vital three points on the board. Town rarely looked like scoring despite periods of possession and forcing a large number of corners.
Leicester 1-1 Town Sat 08th Sep 2001 18:09
A controversial last minute goal saw Peter Taylor grab a lifeline on an afternoon of high drama, but little impressive football. A year or so ago Barry Knight was the anti-hero of Bolton as he sent off two of their players and gave Town three penalties in the second leg of the play-off semi. Few of those decisions were debatable, however the two red cards, one penalty, a hatful of bookings, the failure to red card Robbie Savage and finally the late Dean Sturridge goal left supporters with a lot to talk about after the game.
Bradford 0 - 2 Ipswich Sat 21st Oct 2000 17:54
Town won their third away game on the trot with a late Jamie Clapham freekick adding to a first half Dan Petrescu own goal. Town lined up as they did last week which meant a place on the bench once more for Titus Bramble.
Holland Hopeful Thu 24th Aug 2000 10:54
Town skipper Matt Holland is hopeful that he will be fit to line-up for his 170th consecutive game for the Blues on Saturday. Holland's ankle was injured by a challenge from Gary Neville just before half-time and he was eventually substituted, for only the second time in his Town career, two minutes into the second half. The man signed from Bournemouth said: "It is still puffy and swollen but not as bad as I thought it might be. It is not the best but I'm not going to rule myself out of Saturday." Martijn Reuser and James Scowcroft will be standing by to take his place in midfield should Holland be missing.
